Helping Women Embrace and Celebrate Perimenopause
What is perimenopause?
The Female Experience
According to the World Health Organization, perimenopause refers to the stage when changes in a woman’s menstrual cycle are first observed and ends one year after her final menstrual period. It may last for several years and may affect a woman’s physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being.
Across the U.S. alone, millions upon millions of women are in perimenopause and millions more are on the cusp of it. Whether you’ve just begun the journey, are painfully navigating your way through these challenging times, or are a seasoned champion, there is a stigma surrounding this phase of your life. The lack of community and public knowledge, the limited resources and tools, and the minimal conversation (as a taboo topic), leads to women suffering in silence. And more often than not, in isolation.
What are our goals?
- To bring knowledge and understanding of the perimenopausal phase
- To cultivate a community of compassion, empathy, and resilience
- To provide facts, information, tools, and resources that allow women to manage and alleviate their symptoms
